Thank God IPL is over. It seemed less about cricket and more about Lalit Modi instructing the camera to focus towards him. Every five minutes and his monkey-face would appear where he would be pretending to talk to some bigshot. Talk about narcissism! Anyway, even though I saw all the matches (on the background while reading Mansfield Park) I did not find them interesting at all. I think I spent more time listening to my mom and masi gossip about people than take care about who will reach the semis and etc...
Anyways, it is over now, and tennis is back. My Nadal is back! Wearing (ugh!) bright pink tee and blinding yellow head and wristband. I mean, seriously. What happened to earthy tones and sleeveless tees so that i can ogle at his muscles and...sigh!!! give me a minute to daydream!
I still remember the night when he was playing against Federer in the epic Wimbledon final. One of the moments that are stuck with you for the rest of your life. I had bribed my roommate with momos to cheer for Nadal, which she did with full enthusiasm. Poor girl, she stayed up till 4 in the morning with me till he won.
Please Rafa.. don't ruin the fantasies for me. Colours like green and black look so good on you. Please leave baby pink to someone who could actually carry it off!
You know you love me! (XOXO)
PS: Yeah that was me doing a Gossip Girl!

tee hee. I can just SO picture gossip girls like...right now, and it is SO not cool! So i'm thinking to myself who's going to win the frenchie, and I'm like , yeahhh duhhhh its nadaaal.
Great post! despite the fashion follies, I think Nadal will pull off the victory, though I just want to see Fedex win this once. He's a great player who deserves this one accolade!

@Fark
I guess we spoke too soon. I can't believe he lost to 'some' guy. I mean who the hell was Soderling or whatever is name was. Neways, Federer screwed him, so i'm happy. And he deserved it too!
PS-Sorry for the late reponse, I was shifting to Banglore for my college and the internet sucked in my campus.
Hi Niki,
It was a great open! I think the future Fedex vs Nadal games will be hopefully even more fun and competitive to watch. Federer- thanks to Nadal, and Nadal ( thanks to Soderling) both have sort of realized that they aren't immune to defeats. On the other hand, they now also have no mental blocks against each other or any specific tournament! The games will truly begin!
No problem regarding the delayed response, and welcome to Bangalore :-)

ahem...a post seems to have disappeared here..
aaa... I was starting with it when the class started. And as tech savvy as I am I somehow saved the title without writing anything. It took me some time to figure out how to delete it:).I'm working on it now.
@Fark
Yeah, even I had a feeling that Nadal needed something like this. I guess he had already thought of French Open to be 'in the bag'.
Waiting eargerly for Wimbledon!!
tch! tch! you management types...
